We are looking for a highly motivated scientists to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will have a key role in most projects of the Company. He/she will provide technical help, lab support and organizational needs. The ability to work autonomously is required, but at any moment the candidate will be able to interact with senior members of the research team to ensure proper experimental design, analysis, and address technical concerns. The candidate will work in a young, dynamic, international environment, where everybody is committed to the ambitious translational project of bringing new, ground-breaking therapies for liver disease to the market.
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for:
Cell culture (human and mammalian stem cells, primary hepatocytes, co-cultures, organoids)
In vitro cell differentiation and assessment of the quality of differentiation (flow cytometry, immunostaining, confocal microscopy, RT-qPCR, immunoblotting, enzymatic functions, drug metabolism)
Molecular biology (cloning, transfection/transduction, qPCR, genome editing)
Lab management (orders, supplies)
Requirements and skills
Strong motivation: the candidate should share the company vision and aims
Master’s degree in cellular/molecular biology or related fields and at least 2 years of experience (as a graduate student or research assistant) in a research laboratory working on stem cells or primary human cell culture.
Solid technical skills. The candidate must master the following technical skills: cell culture, immunostaining, immunoblotting, flow cytometry, ELISA, cloning, transfection, RT-qPCR.
Experience with embryonic stem cells or iPSCs, in vitro differentiation protocols and GLP/GMP standards would be a plus.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with the staff and with external contacts in English. At least basic knowledge of the French language is required.
Terms of employment
Full-time job with an indeterminate term contract, with a 3-month probationary period.
